Google and its subsidiary YouTube dominate the 2016 global rankings. This time around, YouTube has beaten Google to first place appearing on sixteen country lists compared to Google's fifteen.
The social media sector has increased its presence on the international list with Facebook in third place and WhatsApp right behind in fourth. Facebook makes the top ten in thirteen countries.
As Netflix continues its global expansion, the streaming entertainment company has seen a brand rise on the international list, moving up from eighth to fifth place.
While the IPhone has stayed at number six in the rankings, Samsung's battery crisis has knocked them down from third place on the international rankings list to number eight, leaving IPhone as the leading mobile tech company on the list.
Despite consistently being on top in the United States and making it's way back onto four country lists, Amazon is has lost a little ground. Amazon has dropped from ninth to tenth place on the international list.
